For my son's 16th Birthday, we decided to throw a 50's, 60's & 70's Costume Dance party. We sent out 100 invitations.
We rented a hall and hired a DJ (Andy's uncle & cousin work real cheap!). We're decorating the hall w/100 helium balloons w/curly strings attached that will hang down in the hall just above everyone's head.
We are giving out movie party in a basket prizes for the best costumes of the decades. (movie in a basket contains: 2 bags of microwave popcorn; 8 - 10 fun size candy bars; 1 box of raisins; 1 bottle of soda; and a $5.00 gift certificate to a movie rental store.)
We have decorations for all 3 decades. We will be serving trash can punch (fruit punch w/ real fruit in a trash can.)
And we have several contest like guess the number of M & M's in the jar and hula hoop/yo yo/paddleball relays.
And the ever popular Limbo, Stroll & bunny hop dance.
We have also strung hundreds of "love beads" for party favors. We can hardly wait!
